B. Dolan.

B. Dolan (2024).

Me and Anita. I have a lot of history with B. I wouldn't presume to call him a friend, but we definitely share a history, connected through Dan le Sac: quite a few gigs, a few soundchecks, and I even interviewed him and filmed his gig in Dublin in September 2015. Ten songs from that night are still on my YouTube channel, including Safety Theatre, Natural Born Trouble and Film the Police.

This was ten years after the Workman's, in a tiny room in Hackney, for over two hours. I'd met Pip in the bar beforehand, so it was no surprise when he came on for Soldier Boy and One Breath Left, with Buddy Peace joining for the end. It was very fitting, because this pretty much served as B's retirement from touring, due to surgery and health issues.

We'll miss you, buddy.

The setlist.

All 22 songs from the night, in the order they played them. Listen: Apple Music · Spotify

The Traveller, King Bee, Freestyle and The Last Temptation of Wil E. Coyote aren't on streaming, so they're missing from both. Apple Music doesn't have Soldier Boy. Spotify doesn't have Earth Movers.
