It started off as just me and Anita on a trip home, then my brother Stephen and his partner Tina joined us, in town from Melbourne at the time. We bumped into cousins and various others through the day too. Home town gigs, eh!
It was the second night of Ed's whole world tour, played in the round. Full band for some of it, just Ed and a loop pedal for the rest. He sang The Parting Glass on his own, which in Croke Park is about as Irish as a gig gets.
Ed is one of those: very good, very accomplished. A good gig, but no surprises. Exactly what you expect it to be.
