Harry Styles.

Wembley, twice. June 2023 and June 2026.

Harry Styles (2023 and 2026).

Me and Anita, both times. I'll own it: I'm a Harry Styles fan, and yes, I know that as a 49-year-old man I'm probably not the target audience. Honestly, Harry does the most inventive, uplifting, supremely crafted pop shows anywhere. A true artist.

Love On Tour, June 2023.

The pre-gig routine was the same as for the football: the Green Man, and a visit to the gents, where every inch of tile is covered in stickers left by fans of whoever's played Wembley that week. It's like a museum of away days.

Then up Olympic Way, past a sea of pink feather boas and cowboy hats, and up into the top tier. From that high Wembley looks like a model of itself. Harry came on, the place lost its mind, and for two hours it was a stadium full of people having the best night of their year.

Together, Together, June 2026.

Three years later, back again: twelve nights at Wembley this time, a record, with Shania Twain as very special guest. Section 549, top tier again.

Shania's set alone was worth the ticket. She did That Don't Impress Me Much, You're Still the One and Man! I Feel Like a Woman!, and she told the crowd Harry used to listen to her in his mum's car.

Then the main event, on a ring-shaped catwalk lit in rainbow that went right round the pitch, so wherever you were sitting he'd eventually be close to you.

Two tours, two very different shows, and the same thing both times: nobody in that stadium was too cool to be there.
