Indiependence.

Indiependence (2013).

Indiependence in Mitchelstown is one of those small Irish festivals that punches well above its weight. We did it a couple of years running in the campervan, and it had a habit of giving us our first look at breakout stars, alongside proper festival acts like Public Enemy, Bell X1, The Coronas and Fun Lovin' Criminals.

In 2013 the bill had De La Soul, Bastille, The Fratellis, Kodaline and We Are Scientists, all in a field in north Cork.

The Fratellis were back with We Need Medicine, and Chelsea Dagger in a field is exactly as good as you'd imagine. We were back the next year.
