James.

Utilita Arena, Newcastle. April 2026.

James (2026).

Me and Anita. We pinned it to the same weekend as a Sunderland home game and made a weekend of it.

This was my second time seeing James. They're one of the most consistent, joyous live bands around, and one of those bands with far more songs than you realise you know.

I love Tim Booth and the whole James back story. There's a documentary knocking about and it's pretty crazy.

It was the Love Is the Answer tour. Sit Down came fourth, Tim went into the crowd for Say Something, and there was a brand-new eight-minute song, Nantucket.

Doves as special guests were an added bonus. I've probably seen them about five times now, in their various guises.

The setlist.

All 20 songs from the night, in the order they played them. Listen: Apple Music · Spotify

Nantucket isn't on streaming, so it's missing from both.
