Oasis.

Wembley, August 2025. The one we'd all been waiting for.

Oasis (August 2025).

Some gigs you go to. Some you've been waiting for since the nineties. I saw Oasis a dozen times all through the 90s, and it was always a question of which Oasis would show up.

When they said they were getting back together I didn't believe it. Then I somehow won the ticket war on my phone, stood trackside at the Italian Grand Prix. Me, Anita, Andy and Tony, in the Green Man beer garden with a pint in hand, like half of London.

Cast opened, Richard Ashcroft followed, and then the lights went down and Hello kicked in. From there it was relentless: Acquiesce, Morning Glory, Some Might Say, Cigarettes & Alcohol, Supersonic. Noel took his turn with Talk Tonight and Half the World Away. Slide Away, my all-time favourite, nearly took the roof off, and Live Forever did.

Not this time, then. This was Oasis at their polished best, with a vibe in the crowd like I've never experienced. Nobody was there to watch: a full Wembley singing every word, arms round strangers, pints going up in the air whether they're full or not.

Then the encore. Don't Look Back in Anger, Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova. Grown men in tears. Me included.

The event of all events, and it didn't disappoint. Already booked for Glasgow and Munich in '27. Bring it on.
