Pet Shop Boys (2017).

Another one of those huge acts that needed to be crossed off the list, with tickets sorted only four days before. Totally worth it.

It was the Super tour, and a much more non-stop, high-energy show than I expected. Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe arrived on rotating white discs wearing metal helmets, and from there it was lasers, giant balloons and a backing band in oversized cycling helmets.

Most of the set came from Super and Electric, but West End Girls, It's a Sin and Go West had the whole arena singing. Left to My Own Devices came with a new arrangement, and they finished on Domino Dancing and Always on My Mind, with a short reprise of The Pop Kids to close.

The breadth of their back catalogue is up there with the very best. I'd go any time I see them listed again.

The setlist.

All 23 songs from the night, in the order they played them (the closing Pop Kids reprise is left off). Listen: Apple Music · Spotify
