A leftfield one I got from Apple Music, but very good.
Waxahatchee — Katie Crutchfield, from Alabama — played the Eventim Apollo one night in June, her biggest UK headline show to date, off the back of Tigers Blood, which got a Grammy nomination for Best Americana Album.
Stalls standing, a Guinness across the road first, and her name in big red letters on the front of the Apollo. Inside, the stage was lit gold through the haze and the band just played: no screens, no gimmicks, a room full of people actually listening.
It started, as expected, with 3 Sisters and peaked with Right Back to It. High quality.
Then out into Hammersmith and past the Lola's cupcake locker in the station, which is a very London way to end a night.
